Lambs in Yorkshire are getting their own special number and web address for Internet gamboling!

Why don’t shy wet sheep shrink? (Say that after a pint of Riggwelter)

How do they make great beer out of Black Sheep?

Boots & Beer Walking Festival in the Yorkshire Dales Friday 7th – Sunday 9th September 2012

What could be better than a weekend of great walks, beautiful countryside, fantastic beer and excellent entertainment? The 8th annual Black Sheep Boots and Beer Walking Festival is set to be our biggest yet. With a jam packed programme to suit all levels of walkers it is an event not to be missed!
The walks are self-guided with full back up including detailed route descriptions, OS maps, checkpoints and back markers provided by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority. Walks start from either Hawes (3 walks per day), Bainbridge (2 walks per day), or Aysgarth (2 walks per day).
There will be a free daytime ‘shuttle bus’ linking the three registration desks. As part of the £20 ticket price you will also receive a superb Goody Bag and an exclusive Boots and Beer T-shirt, as well as a Walker’s Tally Card which will include a Pub Trail Collector Card. These items will be issued at the Festival registration.

So if you fancy a whet or a walk go and let us know how you get on.
